Week 3: The Good and the Bad

The GoodTim Tebow
Yeah I have to admit it the kid is one tough cookie.  I think one of the announcers said it best during the Tennessee game, "Tim Tebow is the enitre offense."   Yep they're finally getting it.

The Bad:  Whiney Urban
Is there no end to Urban Meyers cry me a river routine.  He always has his feelings hurt, whether its because the Bulldogs were overly excited about scoring first, or Lane Kiffin mouthing off in typical Lane Kiffen style.  But the truth is that Urban didn't put 50 on Tennessee like he thought he would and that upset his delicate ego.  In fact, the Florida offense looked weak, very weak, except for Superman of course.  So of right on cue Urban has an excuse, his team was riddled with the flu.  Of course lots of people get the flu, including the UGA QB Joe Cox in the opening week, several key Alabma players, Colt McCoy and many others, but to Urban "cry me a river" Meyer, this is the excuse he needs for not being able to completely destroy the Tennessee Volunteers and completely embarrass a man even more arrogant than Urban himself, Lane Kiffin.  Of course the best part of the story is when Lane was asked about whether he was scared of the Vol's getting the flu, and he responded in his typical complete-ass sort of way "I don't know. I guess we'll wait and see, and if we're not excited about our performance, we'll tell you that everybody was sick."  Yeah he's an ass, funny, but an ass nevertheless.

The Good: Florida State
Holy Noley Fat-Man, FSU beat the living schnot out of BYU.  Of course that was to be expected.  Oh, c'mon who didn't see that coming.  First, FSU is possibly the most underrated team in college football, even after the ass-whooping they put on BYU.  I mean, Miami is ranked #9 people, and they just scraped by the Noles.  Another second on the clock and FSU has beaten two really good teams (and admittedly almost lost to a Div I-AA scool).   Second, their QB Christian Ponder has looked absolutely phenominal and its sad that no one else is really paying him any attention.  Like I predicted after Week 1, don't be surprised to see the Canes and the Noles in the ACC Title game.

The Bad:  Anyone unfortunate enough to play a team from Florida this year.
Yeah, it kinda reminds me of the 90s.  Just a little.  Miami and FSU both seem to be getting back to their ass-kicking ways, and Florida is still the team to beat.

The Good:  Cal
Yep they've been tearin it up.  Of course they've yet to play a real team.  Though admittedly their schedules been tougher than UF's.  And they are getting some worthy praise.  I just hope they can hold on here in their first real test of the season.  I didn't think Oregon would be much of a test, but after than handled Utah so easily, it looks like they might put up quite a fight and could dash Cal's dreams of breaking into the Top 5.  We'll see soon enough.

The Bad:  USC
Oh-Ver-Rated!  Seriously, that's all I've got on that one.
